Among the food talent participating this year are Food Network stars Mark McEwan, Lynn Crawford and Michael Smith. The event will take place at the ROM and will allow attendees to sample yummy yummy food and drink, all in support of Second Harvest’s food donation program. Tickets are $250 each. Who likes Empanadas? I like Empanadas! Blog TO has a list of the best Empanadas in Toronto, and I definitely have to agree with their choice for number 1: Jumbo Empanadas in Kensington. I love grabbing one of their cheese empanadas and eating it beside that weird man statue in Kensington Park. But I’ll have to check out some of the others on this list, and so should you. Beer and empanadas make an awesome Friday night dinner.

 Did you know the world’s biggest McDonald’s will be opening in London in time for the Summer Olympics? Sports and McDonald’s go together like peanut butter and chocolate, you see. The new McDonald’s will seat 1500 people at a time and employ over 2000 people. See pictures here.
